A fantastic restoration opportunity. This ‘barn find’ 280SLC is the perfect project basis.
Finished in period-perfect Milan Brown metallic with Brasil Brown velour interior, this 280SLC is optioned with factory air conditioning, headlamp wash/ wipe, electric windows and sunroof and alloy wheels.
The car has been off the road, quite literally in a barn, for over ten years.
The car will need some repair work to the body, as expected, but is overall quite solid. The interior is in very nice order and would need very little work.
The engine runs and seems to be fundamentally in healthy condition with excellent oil pressure, but will need some work to the injection system and the water pump is leaking. The transmission engages well in forward an reverse too. Obviously the car will need recommissioning mechanically, but runs drives and stops for loading purposes.

We think this is a great basis for restoration as the car is very original and complete, with great period colours.
