Original Cardiganshire 'dateless' number plate: 'JEJ 629'
The Appeal
Offered as Austin's alternative to the Morris Minor, the A30 and A35 were a series of compact family cars powered by BMC's inimitable A-Series engine. The A35 also proved quite successful in saloon car racing, thanks to its diminutive footprint and eminently tuneable powerplant; they're still a crowd-pleaser at Goodwood Member's Meetings.
This 1969 A35 shows just 49,000 miles on the odometer which we're informed is an accurate figure. The car has been in long-term ownership since 1990, with only two previous registered keepers from new. Presented in very smart condition throughout and brimming with period details like Lucas P700 headlamps and a Radiomobile radio, this little Austin would be a superb addition to any garage.IMG_4692 Jonathan.jpeg1.52 MB
