The Appeal

Here is a very reluctant sale. The vendor acquired the car in 2020 and completed a comprehensive professional restoration in 2023. That the work cost £25,000 and covered body repairs, respray in dark green, retrimmed Tobacco tan leather cabin and extensive mechanical and electrical repairs merely hints at the meticulous and detailed approach that he took.

The result must be one of the best and freshest XJ6 Series 3 for sale in the UK. it looks fantastic, the retrimmed interior with its walnut accents and Daimler-specification twin rear seat being nothing short of sumptuous.

All of which is before you consider the multifold appeal of Jaguar’s final iteration of the original XJ6. The decade-old design was cleverly modernised by Pininfarina, an execution that was so good it remained in production into the 1990s. Beneath the big bonnet the venerable XK 4.2L straight six got fuel injection for improved efficiency.

Beyond the impressive condition, this car is a very low mileage example and comes to market with the useful transparency of a lengthy, advisory-free voluntary MOT. With a large history file documenting all that work, this car is a fantastic opportunity for those who really value quality cars.
