The Appeal
Introduced for the 2000 model year, the Boxster S marked a significant evolution in Porsche’s mid-engined sports car lineup. As the top-spec variant of the first-generation 986 line-up, the S came equipped with a larger and more powerful 3.2-litre flat-six, producing 250PS, a notable uptick in power over the 2.7-litre engine in the standard car. It also got a host of upgrades over its lesser sibling, including a six-speed manual transmission, bigger brakes, and uprated suspension, giving it much sharper driving dynamics. Traits that brought it close to the 911 of the same era.
This 2000 example is an extraordinarily well-preserved and remarkably low-mileage one, with the odometer showing just over 4,000 miles, making it one of the lowest mileage examples in the UK today.
Finished in a subtle colour combination and benefitting from a valid MOT through to July 2026, this Boxster S comes with its original fully stamped service book, an array of invoices, and prior MOTs as evidence of its sparing use and careful ownership throughout its life. The car’s condition is best described as immaculate and highly original both inside and out.
It is becoming increasingly rare to find a first-generation Boxster S in such original condition, let alone with mileage this low. As analogue-era manual-equipped Porsches continue to climb in value, this 986-generation model stands out as a highly collectable example, one that would make a stunning addition to any collection that is ready to be enjoyed.
