The Appeal

Outside the rarified world of supercars, there’s a strong case to argue that a E46 M3 is really all any performance driver needs. More practical than a Porsche, more engaging than a RS3, the E46 arrived that sweet spot when technology assisted rather than swamped engagement.

It’s a surprisingly tough task finding a good E46 M3, whether you approach the issue in terms of specification or condition. The vendor spent some time looking for this SMG gearbox car before adding it to his collection in June 2025. It was factory fitted with over £6,000 of factory options, including upgraded alloys and audio. The silver metallic paintwork presents well in photos, helped by a recent machine polish, ceramic coat treatment and alloy wheel polish, while inside the attractive Nappa Imola Red leather is accented with some bespoke grey Alcantara trim for the dashboard and armrests.

We are told that the car has been maintained well. In April 2026 the SMG pump was replaced, and it received a new battery, alongside other work totalling £1,323. Added reassurance is provided by a fresh MOT which will be applied to the car before handover.
