The Appeal

The enduring appeal of the W211 estate is that you get all the usual Mercedes luxury and quality but with the sort of vast load area that would make owners of Transit vans jealous.

This very low-mileage Obsidian Black E320 wagon was supplied new to Japan and remained there, on its usefully salt-free roads, until early 2023, when it arrived here. That has kept the condition very high and the mileage low - it has covered less than 31,000 miles from new.

Then there is the specification. For many enthusiasts, this is the one to have, the M112-powered 3.2litre V6 in Avantgarde specification, which delivers decent power and economy with a healthy dose of luxury.

The car is reported to have a full service history - although unfortunately, records have been lost - and benefits from a £4,000 overhaul of the clever air suspension system in 2023. We are told that within the last 12 months the car has benefitted from £3,000 of work including ceramic coating and alloy wheel refurbishment. A long MOT to December 2025 underlines the provenance.
