The Appeal
The 997 returned some familiar 911 tropes - particularly the round headlights and classic dashboard - and introduced something new. That something was this model, the simply named Carrera S.
Power jumped 29bhp to 360bhp thanks to larger 3.8L version of the sonorous flat six. Each Carrera S got the firm’s clever PASM suspension system plus choice enhancements like a sports exhaust and 19in alloys.
This car, classically finished in silver metallic with a black leather cabin, is an excellent example of these elevated models. It has covered less than 77,000 miles in its 20 years, yet has been carefully maintained by each of its keepers who have kept on top of the servicing and maintenance. There is a raft of invoices from well regarded specialists and service stamps up to 76,514 miles. Recent work includes refurbishing those stylish alloys, enhancing the stance with a front diffuser and acquiring £1,200 of parts from specialist Design 911.
The car is in good working order with a valid MOT until May 2026.
