The Appeal
The Gran Cabrio Sport was launched in 2011, adding more power and improved handling to the car’s already elevated appeal. And it was this car that communicated all that to the world. When new it was part of Maserati’s press fleet and appeared on Fifth Gear and several major magazine features. It was also used as a Safety Car at Brooklands.
Not surprisingly, it is a well-specified example in a very stylish colour combination of burgundy metallic with black leather stitched red. The vendor acquired the car in 2014 and has used and enjoyed it for regular long-distance European road trips whilst also looking after it very well. He reports that it has proved very reliable
No doubt that is in large part because he has kept up to date with the servicing and maintenance. The car was initially maintained by main dealers until 2020 before being entrusted to well-regarded specialists. The last service was in 2024 by Steve Spinks using OEM Maserati parts.
Always garaged and equipped with a lengthy MOT to May 2026 with no advisories, this is a very handsome and well-kept example of Maserati’s high-performance, Ferrari-infused convertible.
The vendor says:
This Maserati Gran Cabrio Sport started life as a press car featuring on Fifth Gear and in several car magazines. It has been a very special car to own over the past 10 years and always receives admiring looks and let’s face it it’s still probably one of the best looking GT’s around. It’s a great car to drive a real motorway muncher and quick enough through the twisty stuff. It’s USP is the sonorous Ferrari V8 engine that puts a smile on your face from strike up to shutdown.
