1960 MGA 1600 – exceptional condition
Introduced in 1955 as the replacement for the ‘TF’ Series, the all-new MGA was an immediate success. Its curvaceous styling captured the spirit of the era, while its sure-footed handling drew high praise. Produced until 1962, the MGA was available as both a roadster and a fixed-head coupé. As with earlier MG models, a very large percentage were exported, particularly to North America, where it was especially well regarded.
This superb 1960 MGA 1600 is presented in exceptional order, having covered only around 5, 000 miles since a professional restoration to concours standard approximately 12 years ago.
Finished in Old English White with black leather trim, the car has excellent weather equipment, which has seen very little use thanks to the car being reserved for fine-weather motoring.
A Heritage Trust Certificate confirms the car was despatched from the Abingdon Works on 19th August 1960, factory-fitted with the optional wire wheels.
