This 1992 BMW 850Ci has been owned by our Managing Director for many years, during which time it has spent part of its life in dry storage.
Late last year, the car was taken out of storage and entrusted to a specialist for a programme of mechanical recommissioning, which has been ongoing. Earlier this year the car passed an MOT and was driven, during which it performed extremely well. There remain a small number of minor mechanical gremlins, which are currently being addressed, with the intention of the car being fully sorted by mid-January 2026. The vehicle will be supplied with a fresh MOT prior to sale.
The vehicle has previously benefited from a respray and now presents extremely well. Finished with a full Alpina-style body kit and correct wheels, it is a striking and imposing-looking car that suits the E31’s design perfectly.
The car is accompanied by a large and comprehensive history file, including a fully stamped service book dating back to original supply. From the history file, it can be seen that the car spent a period of its life in the Isle of Man, adding an interesting chapter to its story. The current registration number has been with the car for a long time and will remain with the vehicle.
As with any flagship GT of this era, ongoing maintenance and future expenditure should be expected, but the car drives well, looks excellent, and represents strong value for money given its presence, specification, and recent investment.
A very attractive opportunity to acquire a charismatic and increasingly collectible BMW 8 Series, offered transparently and with clear scope for further enjoyment.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss the vehicle further or arrange a viewing.
