Motodrome are very pleased to offer this galvanised chassis 1964 Series 2A Land Rover 88in Station Wagon, in Bronze Green with Limestone safari roof and correct fully trimmed interior
In seven-seater spec, with 4 individual folding rear seats, overdrive, freewheel front hubs, deluxe bonnet.
Apart from the galvanised chassis, it’s also fitted with:, Series 3 gearbox (rebuilt) for better driveability), parabolic springs, matching set of 4 mud-terrain tyres, period auxiliary lamps, rare sunvisor, alloy doortops, towpack, and mudflaps.
Internally it has the correct fully-trimmed interior, with deluxe front seats, inertia reel front seat belts, heater, and extra instrumentation.
An original UK home-market example the last owner (a trained engineer) went through it carefully over his 5 year ownership making it as good as he possibly could, and it’s a credit to him in the way it looks and drives
Comes with a huge history file back to 1994 including gearbox rebuild, recent new clutch, brakes, etc. The engine was fully rebuilt including balancing by Tyler Motorsport in 2006.
Whilst it’s now officially MOT exempt (if applied for) it’s actually MOT’d to January 2019, and of course qualifies for historic tax.
It’s full of character and on test it performed superbly – it’s my current favourite of all our stock.
