1971 VW Karmann Ghia Coupe-Finished in a deep shine piano Black. This is a California import car so as a result has no rust issues. The paintwork is very good and the polished Black has a deep shine to it. The new highly polished BRM alloys are in in 1st class condition and are shod with fairly new 15 inch Yokahama Radials which have seen little use. The chromework is very good. With the distinctive american style towel rail bumpers. Most if not all weather seals appear new. The interior has been retrimed in America and remains in very good order. There is a period "Banjo"steering wheel and ally T-bar shifter. Behind the rear seat once folded down it houses a speaker system linked to a new Kenwood stereo system in the glovebox. The car is uk registered and motd ready to go. It drives very well. The engine performs well and starts 1st time. The engine bay is very clean. There are several aftermarket goodies including Chrome tinware , polished 009 distributor, Chrome fan housing etc. There has been an upgrade from the standard dynamo to an alternator.
There are Two new batteries under the rear seat instead of the normal One. This gives separate power to a new hydraulic suspension system. with a new adjustable front beam and new shocks, this Karmann can be adjusted from the flick of a switch in the car or via remote control. So can go from the showground ground hugging slammed look thru to normal driving ride height thru to raised front or rear. All fully adjustable at the push of a button. This system has recently been fitted by a known professional at a cost of £3000 and makes a great fun at the shows.
