Once the backbone of East-German logistics, the Framo V901/ 2 was a popular and versatile light commercial vehicle. The small truck has been in production from 1954 to 1961, and is also known as the Barkas V901/ 2.
This Framo pick up truck was converted to be used on a tractor registration. Having been restored several years ago, the truck received a more modern Peugeot 504 diesel engine and 4-speed manual gearbox.
Chassis and body are in good condition, with a professional paint job and no traces of rust or damage.
The interior has been upgraded with non-original seats, a custom made dashboard and sports steering wheel. Although still functional, the ignition switch should be replaced.
The Framo truck runs and drives well and appears to be in well-serviced condition. The cold start system needs attention. Also, the stationary RPM should be adjusted. It comes with a few extra parts: dynamo, starter, steering links, steering column and steering wheel, brake drums and an extra rear window.
A well-restored truck with modern upgrades, built to be used in a reliable and economic way.
