Launched in 1984, the W124 continued Mercedes' tradition of producing an exceptionally well built 5 seater saloon car. With development focused on aerodynamics and safety using state of the art computer aided design, these are a classic car that can be used every day without compromise. Over 2. 5 Million W124 were sold in saloon, coupe, estate and convertible form. There is a car for every need from the 2. 0 manual diesel for the European taxi market to the 500E with its Porsche developed suspension and quad cam V8.
This fine example is the desirable 300E, fitted with the 3. 0 straight 6 12v engine, renowned for its smoothness and reliability. As with most 6 cylinder W124 it is driven through a 4 speed automatic gearbox, switchable between 'Economy' and 'Standard' modes. Equipment includes;

There is a full service history with the car. Service entries in the book at 1k, 3k, 12k, 19k, 24k, 32k, 35k, 41k, 47k, 52k, 61k, 66k, 72k, 74k (Speedo Replaced in 2006 as is very common with Mercedes of this Era). 1k, 5k, 12k, 17k, 19k, 23k, 37k, 43k, 47k, 50k. This equates to a current mileage of 124, 700. Be wary of any W124 advertised with low miles but lacking history to back it up!
