After the release of the incredible (in both performance and expense) W198 300 SL ?Gullwing?, Mercedes-Benz elected to produce the W121 190 SL, a smaller, more affordable, but no less beautiful roadster. With a new 1. 9L Inline-4, a modified floorpan from a W121 saloon, and looks clearly derived from its ?big brother?, the 190 SL proved quite successful, especially among the celebrities of the time, and laid the groundwork for later SL-Class models.
The magnificent 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster featured here is finished in classic German Silver over Black leather with a matching Black folding convertible top and a rare factory-equipped removable hardtop. This investment-grade 190 SL has been beautifully restored to an extremely high level and is now ready to be shown or driven. With only four meticulous owners since new, an exceptional restoration, and an eye-catching color combination, this Mercedes the perfect example to add to any premier collection. Because of this, I personally believe the investment potential of this iconic Mercedes-Benz will grow beyond your imagination. Offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the best!
