Motodrome are pleased to offer this LEFT HAND DRIVE 1987 example of the ever-popular Land Rover 90 ex- military soft top, in six-seater configuration.
the VIN number, frame number stamped on the chassis, & engine number all match the paperwork.
It’s fitted with: Power steering, 200TDi power, high-ratio transfer box, sideways-opening tailgate, steering guard, sidesteps, a matching set of 5 BFG tyres on limestone rims, adjustable towbar, rear mudflaps, and full chequerplate kit.
Internally it has Cobra front seats with waterproof covers, metal lockable cubby box, twin benches in the back, radio/ CD with aux plug, and high-lift jack.
We have a synopsis of it’s military history, prior to release in 1999. It is believed, from the amount of sand found in various nooks and crannies when repainted, that it spent a lot of time in the desert, and it may have served in the first Gulf war On release it went into storage until 2006/ 7, when it was sold to the last owner by Huddersfield Land Rover Centre. Said last owner decided he wanted a bit more performance and comfort for making regular trips from the UK to Greece, and hence in 2010 commissioned Liveridge 4x4 to fit a rebuilt 200tdi motor with Ashcroft transmission, power steering, topped off with a bare-metal respray in Olive Drab. It was also fully waxoyled.
8500 miles and 7 years later, (still with the same owner) it’s spent most of this time in Greece, hence structurally it’s still first class.
It comes with MOT to May 2018 (no advisories), and is LEZ compliant under current regulations.
It’s full of character, and on a 70 mile run it performed utterly faultlessly – a really superb 90.
