MG Midget Mk III Heritege Re-shell
At Milestone Classics we always like to keep a stock of nice MG’s passing through our showroom and are absolutely delighted to have sourced one of the best Mk III Midgets that you could wish to find, which was previously sold by us and we are again privileged to sell this car.
In 2009 a time served engineer purchased an MG Midget to restore for his wife but after months (and months) of cutting and welding gave up and purchased a brand new shell from the MG Owners club to build the car of his dreams.
A brief summary:-
- New body shell with all new panels
- Superb professional paint finish in red with chrome wire wheels, new windscreen surround and hood
- Engine rebuilt to 1380cc fast road specification with forged pistons, big valve cylinder head, uprated valve springs and performance camshaft
- Fastflow performance manifold with stainless steel exhaust
- Dynalite alternator, Kenlowe thermostatic fan & -
- Luminition electronic ignition
- Reconditioned gear box
- Reupholstered in magnolia light beige leather with red piping and new seatbelts
- New carpets and dashboard with new switchgear and custom leather finish
We have both taken the Midget out and is one of the best we have ever driven. It has outstanding performance/ handling and simply looks and drives like a two year old car. Early viewing is recommended in order to avoid disappointment.
