The Appeal

After the war, Italy needed to feed itself and to do so it needed tractors. The problem was that petrol was scarce, and while diesel was more readily available, Italy had yet to develop a good number of engines that could use it.

The enterprising engineer Ferruccio Lamborghini discovered that he could develop a diesel engine from the six-cylinder Morris truck engines left behind by British soldiers after the war. His lucrative tractor-building business laid the foundations for the Lamborghini empire we know and love today.

This rare DL25 has been masterfully restored by Simone Gallerani, a professional engineer with a passion for Lamborghini tractors. This tractor's striking lines and contrasting Rosso Fuoco and Grigio Topo colours make it a unique piece. This tractor is a significant piece of automotive history that would enrich any Lamborghini collection.

History and Paperwork

All restoration work was carried out by the seller, a professional engineer and expert restorer of Lamborghini tractors
Oil pressure gauge replaced and fully functional
Purchased by the current owner as a complete, unrestored example
All serial numbers have been preserved and are clearly visible

The Condition

Meticulously restored, both mechanically and cosmetically, with original colours and specifications
High-quality new paintwork and hand-painted embossed lettering
Rounded rear mudguards are cast iron and have been carefully repaired and refinished
New agricultural tyres front and rear

Bodywork and paintwork show no signs of damage or corrosion
It is in excellent condition and has probably never been used off-road since restoration
All instruments are new, easily readable and fully functional
We have been informed that the headlights are original, in good condition and in working order

Engine rebuilt with new components (pistons, piston rings, cylinders, valves and guides, heads and cylinder block, gaskets)

Mechanical drum brakes completely overhauled and fully functional
All mechanical components completely rebuilt
New electrical system, dynamo and starter motor overhauled, new spark plugs and resistors
New battery
Original short exhaust
We have been informed that it runs very well and drives without any problems
