The Citroën DS 20 Pallas is the epitome of a French classic. Hailed as one of the greatest cars ever produced in Europe, offering distinctive styling as well as space, and top-of-the-range hydraulic equipment that still impresses the modern driver. The model was a huge success for the Parisian innovators, with nearly one and a half million Bertoni-designed cars sold.
This particular model, a 1974 semi-automatic, was originally part of a prefecture's fleet of vehicles. The car was fully restored two years ago and now arrives in very good condition. The original colour (AC 200) has been retained, while the interior has been refurbished, with new carpets, door panels and a restored dashboard.
The result is a wonderful example of one of Citroën's all-time great vehicles.

History and Paperwork

  • Registered in June 1974
  • Has had four registered owners, the first being the French State
  • The roadworthiness test is valid until January 2027
  • The last MOT revealed some electrical contact problems, which have been resolved
  • The odometer shows 59,720 kilometres and has not been modified

The condition

  • The bodywork has been stripped and corroded parts replaced with new ones.
  • The chassis has been treated with a rust reducer and wax in the hollow bodies.
  • The paintwork is recent, having been done two years ago by a professional.
  • There are a few slight imperfections from use since the restoration.
  • The shine is generally in good condition
  • The wheels are in good condition, as is the underside of the car
The interior has been refurbished, with :
- New headliner Dunlopillo foams
- Carpets
- Door panels
- A restored dashboard
Havana leather seats in very good condition with no tears
Clean, well-maintained dashboard with easy-to-read instruments

Powertrain

  • 1985cc I4 engine
  • Semi-automatic transmission with 4 speeds
  • The engine has been serviced, with new fluids, filters, belts, spark plugs and ignition.
  • Radiator tested, cleaned and reconditioned
  • New parts include alternator, battery, suspension spheres and cylinders, and body gasket
  • According to the seller, the vehicle is in good running order with no mechanical problems reported.
