The Appeal
This is a 1989 Jaguar XJS-C. For years, Jaguar refused to make a convertible due to concerns that open convertibles would be banned in the US, but the XJS was begging to be made into a convertible, and luckly jaguar came to its senses and in 1988, the first convertible rolled off the production line at the Browns Lane factory.
This example was purchased new in Virginia and had three owners in the US. In 2020, the car was imported to Poland, where a complete restoration was carried out, during which no expences were spared. The engine was rebuilt, the interior was reupholstered in new Saville Grey leather, and the new Diamond Blue paint looks brand new. The suspension, brakes, and electrical systems have also been restored. All the restoration work was carried out with originality in mind and the cars is in the is in the same specification as when it left the factory in 1989.
Since the restoration, the car has been lightly used and has only driven about 300 miles since then. The car is ready to faithfully serve its new owner on even the longest trips.
A clean CARFAX report confirms its maintenance and accident-free history. There are few XJS that have been as comprehensively renovated as this one. Not to be missed.
The vendor says:
“A superbly restored example of Jaguar’s flagship V12 convertible, blending elegance, comfort and long-legged touring capability.”
