The Golf was a remarkable success out of the gate, and completely revolutionised the industry into eager adoption of the newly-created 'hot hatch'. It's little wonder that Karmann immediately got to work producing a variant of the diminutive little hatchback. They brought a prototype to VW HQ in 1976, and by 1979, it was on the market - and became an extraordinary success.
This 1993 example is from the final year of the Cabrio built from the iconic Golf MK1 bodyshell, with its handsome angular lines beautifully presented and free of any significant dents or dings. Its silver livery and red soft top creates a striking futurist aesthetic, while the GTI alloys complete the array.
