The History and Paperwork
- This Ford Anglia must have lived a very interesting life throughout the past 60 years
- The logbook only shows 2 previous owners, which for a car of this age is almost unheard of
- It has obviously been loved a lot
- One of the previous owners has also gone to the trouble of fully restoring the vehicle
- There aren’t any invoices present to show any works completed, but it has probably had an interior and exterior overhaul
- The logbook does make mention of it being green, but it is now a subtle creamy kind of colour
- The current owner has had it since 2019 and has been able to use it on the right occasion
- It has been to a few local car shows
- Being presented in such good condition means that you will simply be able to hop in and start your journey

Stepping into this Anglia feels like stepping back in time, the red seats, carpets, and door cards make for a very vibrant interior that contrasts the exterior well.
As we have mentioned in the previous section, it has more than likely been restored at some point because the interior is presented very well.

The seats that are fitted in the interior are in very good condition. You’d expect to see some wear on the driver’s seat, but there is no such wear present the fabric is like the day it was fitted by the trimmer.
This condition is further mirrored by the front and rear passenger seats. All of these seats look nice and comfortable to sit in as you head to the next classic car show.

To carry on with the red theme the carpets fitted to this Anglia are also finished in the same striking red colour, these carpet sections are in very good condition too. As we move further up, to the two-door cards, we can also see that they also look like new, with all the correct handles and other trim still present.
Moving towards the middle of the car we are met with this rather beautiful, 50s-era, dashboard. The material used looks to mimic wood, but looks more hardwearing, this material appears to have no nasty cracks to the top like many classic cars may present with.
Set within this centre console/dashboard are the dials. Once again these are beautifully vintage with the speedometer, petrol gauge, and amp meter all being easy to read whilst you’re out driving. These are almost a work of art in themselves and are just amazing to look at.

If you look all the way up now, you can see that the headliner has more than likely been replaced during the restoration. It looks in amazing condition and doesn’t appear to have any sag in it.
Overall, the interior of this little Anglia is in very good condition.

The Exterior

Isn’t this just a pretty little car, unlike modern monstrosities with big grills and 22” rims, the exterior of the Anglia is understated and subtly.
However, you would still be able to pick it out in a crowd to admire. Wherever you wish to take or display this classic, it should turn a few heads.

Finished in a rather fetching creamy yellow colour this Anglia looks very pretty sitting there. All of the proper classic design features are presented in great condition.
The front wings are beautifully sculpted to cover the wheels whilst also holding the headlights. In the middle of these wings is the long vertical grill that draws your eye up to the side opening, split bonnet.
It is this bonnet section where you will find some slight chips to the paint, this has happened when opening/closing the bonnet. Apart from this area the rest of the exterior paint is in great condition

The simply mechanical running gear on classic cars makes them extremely easy to live with and work on. If you have an issue 9 times out of 10 you can fix it yourself with a screwdriver or spanner saving you a lot on garage bills.

Mechanically this Anglia appears to be in great condition. It started up on the button every time during the photoshoot and idled nicely with no undue rise or fall in revs.
During the photoshoot it was required to manoeuvre into several different positions, it completed this task with ease, almost laughing at us as it did. There were no nasty sounding crunches from first into reverse or vice versa.
The current owner has taken it out on occasion and says that it does drive nicely on the road.

It is out on the road that it comes into its own. The performance may not be supercar territory, but then again, you don’t buy a classic car to set lap records, do you?
