THE APPEAL

Regarded by many as the ultimate British single, the awesome DBD 34 Gold Star Clubman appeared in 1956 and dominated the Clubman TT and numerous other competitions. Highly sought-after by café racers and collectors alike, this machine really is the pinnacle of BSA design.
This genuine speed machine is in fantastic condition and benefits from a considerable amount of money spent on mechanical improvements in recent years, including a rebore in 2020, an upgrade to the desirable RRT2 gear set, and the addition of an electric starter kit.

The accompanying BSA Owners Club Dating Certificate and Gold Star Owners Club letter confirms that this stunning ‘Goldie’ was despatched to Matthews, Stockwell, London on the 10th June 1960 and is fitted with an engine from a 1959 500 cc B34 scrambles bike (see photos).
Parts invoices suggest that plenty of maintenance and a degree of restoration work was carried out between 2014 through to 2021, although we don’t have the finite details. Recently passed on to the vendor, the previous owner acquired this bike in March 2019.
