The Appeal
Any Moto Guzzi is bound to turn heads but this 1960 500 perhaps more so than many. It was raced by Swedish champion Matti Salonen and prepared by his renowned MP Team Salonen. For those new to Matti’s career, his highlights include the 250cc class of the 1969 Grand Prix series.
Acquired by the vendor around seven years ago to add his carefully curated high-end classic bike collection, this is a rare and much-historied racing bike. That it is also beautiful surely only adds to its allure.
It has been carefully dry stored and sparingly used and started since acquisition. Definitely one for the discerning collector.
