The Appeal
Pininfarina’s gorgeous 1500 Coupé apes the style of the Ferrari 250GT Series 2 cabriolet, and perhaps less illustriously the Peugeot 404. With its delicate lines and deft eye for detailing it is arguably one of the prettiest coupes of the 1960s.
It is rare too, with just 2,200 built on Fiat’s rugged 1500 saloon underpinnings and mechanicals. This 1964 car has been extensively restored to a very high standard and is used regularly by the current keeper, who is only the car’s second in its long life. The condition is impressive, the grey paintwork in good order and fitted with the original chromework to add character that some renovations often lose. Inside, there is a magnificent red leather interior which was trimmed by specialist Trappozzeria in Milan.
The car’s regular use means we can rely on the vendor’s assertion that this factory standard car runs and drives well and is reliable. There is also a useful Revisione valid to June 2027. The car comes with its original registration papers and number plates.
