The Appeal
Introduced in 1963, the Li Special was brought in by Innocenti as a sportier, mid-priced variant between the Li Series III and the TV Series III. As you might expect, it was strategically targeted towards the rapidly developing mod movement in England, intended to act as a beguiling solution to staying scooting in the increasingly fast-paced London traffic.
This example first arrived to the UK in 2014, where it underwent some work by Parr-Speed scooters to bring it up to snuff. It’s now an excellent example of a highly desirable icon of mid-century modernism.
