The Appeal
Often prized as one of the most solidly built cars in motoring history, the Volvo P1800 was a handsome, nicely lined vehicle too - designed by Pelle Petterson, under the wing of the esteemed Pietro Frua at Carrozzeria Ghia, it had distinctly elegant, continental lines that weren't usually equated with such robust engineering. In that sense, this handsome tourer really was the best of both worlds - and has since become one of Europe's best-known classics.
Early cars were bult by Jensen. Production subsequently moved to Sweden and the cars renamed P1800S. This is one of those later cars.
This particular example is particularly handsome, with an elegant white-on-black colour scheme, something that's been refreshed to a very high standard over recent years. Lots of bodywork repairs, a retrim and a new set of carpets has left us with a fine example that's sure to attract plenty of admiring glances.
With a well-documented history, and the addition of a power steering upgrade, this Volvo P1800S runs as well as ever it has, and is ready and waiting to impress the lucky new owner. These cars are highly desirable, practical classics and are well worth your consideration.
