The Appeal
The W111 250SE shows a company working at its peak: chiselled Bracq styling, high quality materials and the sort of engineering approach that prioritises solutions over costs.
These cars are revered by enthusiasts. While firmly fitting the classic mould, thanks to their quality and modern useability, for many owners they are dependable daily drivers.
This is just such a car. Comprehensively restored by marque specialists T & D Heaney in 2003, it has been in daily use by its owner until recently when a house move forced its sale. That refurbishment work has held up very well - helped by regular maintenance - but some preventative work by the buyer would be recommended to keep this great old car going for years to come. image.png1.1 MB

Two rear wings

The Interior
Complete interior re-trim in original quality German leather in 2003
New carpets and headliner fitted during the restoration
Seats are soft but the leather remains in good condition
Wood panels were re-veneered but lacquer has lifted from all the woods
Original factory Becker Europa FM radio with electric aerial, both working
Centra locking
Alarm and immobiliser fitted
We are told that all the electrics and dials work correctly
This 1966 Mercedes 250SE Coupe is a wonderful mixture of classic Mercedes-Benz sophistication and modern-day drivability.
An older restoration that is beginning to lightly deteriorate, it has been usefully used daily and serviced regularly. It appears to be at a useful point for the buyer to acquire a usable, solid car that can be run and improved.
