The Appeal
The Series IIA is widely regarded as the quintessential classic Land Rover: rugged, immensely capable and gloriously simple. This 1968 example takes that proven formula further with a Rover P5B 3.5-litre V8 conversion, pairing classic Land Rover character with considerably more performance and the unmistakable burble of a Rover V8.
Finished in Marine Blue with honest, age-related patina, it presents as a well-maintained working vehicle with real charm. The interior remains mostly original, now complemented by new front seats and rear seat cushions, while a fresh canvas hood was fitted in 2024. Mechanically, significant work has been carried out in recent years across the fuel system, cooling system and brakes, as outlined below. image.png1.53 MB
