Why change a formula that works? When it came to updating Lamborghini's famous 'little donkey', the R1, the brand didn't make any major changes. It simply added more power and wider tyres, perfect for tackling Italy's rugged landscapes.
The Vigneron model was specially designed for the thriving Italian wine-growing market of the 1960s, where a narrow body and tall tyres were essential. With a width of just 85 cm, it met this requirement perfectly.
These specialist models are extremely rare and rarely appear on the market. Here is an example in excellent condition, benefiting from a recent restoration that respects its originality. The paintwork, headlights and tyres are new, and a minor mechanical overhaul has been carried out. However, this vehicle clearly didn't need it, as it would have covered just 2,200 km since new.
With its recent overhaul and refurbishment, this rarity will make a wonderful addition to any collection.
