1098cc engine with a 4-speed manual transmission
The Appeal
As the motorway began streaking the counties in asphalt, the Minor began to grow. Not physically - oh no, it was still very recognisable as the little car that had revolutionised the country - but the A-series engine packed under its distinctive nose developed to 948cc, then 1098cc - effectively making it capable of keeping up with traffic on these new-fangled highways.
This 1970 example represents one of the desirable, later production models, featuring the more powerful 1098cc A-series engine. What makes this particular Minor special is its originality - maintaining much of its factory specification and character throughout its 54-year life.
