The Appeal
While the Renault 4 was rudimentary even by the standards of the day, it posed a serious threat to the even more basic 2CV and Citroën's sales really suffered upon its release. In response, the humble 2CV was given a makeover, with more substantial bodywork, more up-market trim and the addition of a hatchback boot. The Dyane was a commercial success, although comparatively few remain.
Our 1972 example is a rare right-hand drive version, making it a great find for Citroën enthusiasts in the UK. Much like the 2CV on which it is based, the Dyane 6 is known for its cleverly engineered suspension which provides a constant source of amusement out on the road. The folding roof is another standout feature, perfect for enjoying those summer drives.
This Dyane 6 has been well cared for, with a fully re-trimmed interior and a new folding roof. The galvanised chassis future-proofs this classic for years to come and with a valid MOT until July 2024, it's ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.
