The Series 2 is arguably the best of the 105 Series Spiders. It falls neatly between the pretty yet compromised Duetto and the good-to-drive yet aesthetically divisive Series 3 Aerodinamica. The Series 2's truncated rear end greatly improved stability at speed, while the interior was much better-equipped than its predecessor. Penned by Pininfarina and powered by Alfa Romeo's legendary Nord twin-cam, it offered a driving experience that few contemporaries could match: characterful, engaging, and utterly rewarding on a twisting back road with the roof folded away.
