The Appeal
Here is a chance to stand out from the usual R107 crowd. Finished in very rare Sahara Yellow, this tidy V8-engined SL adds eye-catching allure to the SL’s multifold attributes.
It is a low mileage car that is in good, usable condition. There are a few points to note outside but inside there is a well preserved black leather cabin with the usual array of wood veneers. Recent work has included refurbishing the wheels and fitting quality Blockley vintage tyres all round. The car is supplied with a good black soft top and matching hard top.
The history file shows that it has been regularly serviced and maintained. Since 2021 there is a long list of work that includes servicing plus work to the brake and fuel systems. There is an additional long list of attention to other areas such as hoses and pipework.
There is some work to do to improve this car, but it looks like a good base to start from. Few cars do relaxed and open top summer motoring quite like a R107. With its vibrant shade, this car looks tailor-made for sunshine.
The vendor says:
“Lovely to drive and has plenty of power and will reach very decent top speed. Accelerates quickly and sports mode is working. The car is a pleasure to drive and a real head turner.
“It has been cherished and enjoyed since purchased. However it now needs to go to a decent home where it can be worked on and restored. It runs as expected so is a great starting point for this.
“We believe the car is one of only two models in the country in this colour. She will be sorely missed!”
