The Attractions
The Citroën 2CV was for many years the most popular economy car in France, but its supremacy was threatened by the launch of the Renault 4, which offered a more versatile and comfortable interior at a very attractive price. Citroën realised it needed to improve and further develop the 2CV, and so the Dyane was born. Featuring a tailgate like its Renault rival, the Dyane also offered a more modern front end with integrated headlights and other styling revisions. Priced between the 2CV and the Ami, it was a great success.
This 1981 Dyane was sold new in Italy. As can be seen in the photo gallery, it is an extremely original example, very well preserved for its age and distinguished by a pleasant patina. It is sold with a valid overhaul and we have been informed that it is in good working order.
