When it was launched in 1948, the 2CV changed Europe forever. With its simple mechanics, innovative long-travel suspension and affordable price, these snail-shaped little cars are often credited with taking France from the age of the horse and cart to a car capable of crossing a ploughed field just as comfortably as if it were a Paris street.
The 2CV has also endured. The popularity of the 'Deuche' increased further in 1975 with the release of the Spéciale, which became the new standard for the car and ensured its future until 1990.
This 1982 version of the 2cv6 Spéciale has been fully restored to an exceptional standard. The car has remained with the same registered owner for over 10 years and has covered just 43,400 kilometres, with its beautifully preserved jade green paintwork.IMG_4575 CHEZLEBOUT.JPG5.86 MB
