If you wanted a roadster in the '80s, chances are you wanted one of these. The R107 was a contender for one of the most evolved examples of the Roadster format out there. It perfectly balanced brash, boxy lines with a rather sophisticated cabin, and by all accounts rewarded its keepers in spades - this was, after all, the era when Mercedes-Benz made a point of over-engineering.
This example, carrying the 5.0-Litre V8 powerplant, is one of the scarcer specified cars in the R107's roster, and has recently arrived in the Netherlands following a life in California.
