The Appeal
Perhaps one of the UK’s most legendary cars, the Land Rover is practically ubiquitous as a Best-of-British off-roader. To this day. The car is a common sight roaming the countryside and bumbling along B-Roads, benefiting enormously from its simply tremendous level of versatility.
This example was originally built as a V8 90 Station Wagon, and was purchased by the owner in 2017. From thereon, the wagon was rebuilt onto a galvanised chassis, overhauled and given a new lease of life - as this utterly exceptional soft-top.
The History and Paperwork
- Built in 1985
- First registered in September 1986

- Spartan, distinctive interior that’s definitive to the Land Rover

- Glasswork and lenses are in good order with no chips or cracks
- Khaki soft-top is in good order with no rips or tears
- Car is sitting on its original wheels, which show only minor wear
- Shod in a full set of new-looking Michelin tyres
- As expected, the truck’s underside is superb and very clean

- Powered by a 3.5-litre V8 Petrol engine
- Rebuilt by HiTech Engines to factory specification
- 5-speed LT85 manual transmission
- Transmission fully rebuilt
- Axles and suspension fully overhauled
- Stainless steel manifolds and exhaust fitted

- Complete galvanised chassis
- Heavy-duty hood frame supplied along with new hood
- Recently MOT’d, valid until February 2024
- No advisories, and serviced with new oil and filters
- The vendor reports no faults with how the car is driving
