In its final years Mercedes’ long-lived R107 received a raft of improvements that make these later cars particularly sought after. Key changes were the new M103 2,962cc straight six 185bhp engine and a fully galvanised chassis. That powerful engine, with its improved economy, and the more durable structure make these cars popular with enthusiasts who want to drive and enjoy their cars.
This 1986 R107 is one of those later, improved cars. It is rare too, being one of around 2,419 300SLs specified with a 5spd manual gearbox. The Nautical Blue paintwork and grey leather are a tasteful choice and the car presents well in photos.
