The Appeal
Intended to replace the air-cooled, rear-engined 911, the introduction of the 928 was a bold move from Porsche. We’re glad the 911 lived on but equally excited by the fact they dared to make the V8-powered 928. It was without doubt one of the best long-distance GTs of its era and nothing has looked quite like it before or since.
This right-hand drive 1986 example was on the road until the MOT expired in March 2023. Offered in good overall condition, complete and accompanied by a history file, it’s a great candidate for recommissioning or a rolling restoration.

The Condition

- The nearside rear light cluster is broken while the bodywork has taken a bash at the same time
- The underside presents well overall, with some signs of corrosion to the nearside front jacking point
- There’s a patina to the paintwork but few notable blemishes
- Inside, all is very original and nicely preserved
- Besides some wear to the driver’s seat bolsters, the leather is in lovely condition
- No heavy excessive to the controls or switchgear despite the indicated mileage
- DIN Pioneer stereo fitted
- The carpets would appear to be serviceable
