The Appeal

The 190E 2.6 sat at the top of the W201 range, offering impressive levels of performance, luxury, and technology in a compact executive package. Designed by arguably Mercedes-Benz's most legendary designer Bruno Sacco, the 190E introduced complex five-link rear suspension, and several advanced safety features including ABS, seatbelt pre-tensioners and airbags.

The 2.6-litre straight-six engine is sought after for its smooth power delivery and reliability. You could still drive one of these cars everyday.

"From 2019 up to 2023, the car underwent an extensive restoration costing thousands. All receipts present. Some examples of work include: brake overhaul, rust repair, engine refurbishment, servicing, suspension work and much more.

"The car was then sold in 2023 to a son who purchased the car for his father as a gift, who unfortunately owned it for a short period of time due to his mobility issues, making it difficult to get in and out of. I purchased the car in October 2024 to add to our collection of classic Mercedes, but have now decided to sell and raise cash for a property purchase."
