The Appeal
Introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1989, the Nissan Figaro was mechanically based on the Micra but was a very different-looking car in just about every way. Retro-styled and rounded, it was a cute little recapture of everything that the increasingly Western-facing Japanese public saw as a 'retro car'.
Released in four colourways, named after the seasons, these nostalgic cars have become modern classics in their own right and continue to prove very popular as a gateway into classic car ownership—after all, they had all the style while being eminently usable.
