The Appeal
The 993 was the last roll of the dice for the classic air-cooled 911. Porsche, in typical style, threw everything at bringing its icon up to date and claimed, with justification, that it was 80% different from its predecessors.
For enthusiasts, that means one of the easiest to use and best-built air-cooled 911s, with all the character and engagement of the classic models. This very early car is finished in smart grey metallic with matching interior and has passed through the hands of just three keepers in its 31 years.
Since around 2014, it has been in dry storage and little used. The service history shows regular maintenance up to that time, and there is a subsequent MOT in 2017, but it has been little used in the last decade or so.
It is a testament to the storage and the long-term current keeper, who acquired it in 1997, that it looks so good today. It has been recently lightly recommissioned by the seller, including new brake pads and both CV boots. It will be sold with a fresh MOT.
