The Appeal
A race car you can drive on the road? It feels like the answer to a fever dream, but here we have exactly that. And it’s a cracker too - a Fiat Coupe with the firm’s warbling 20V five pot engine giving out over 370bhp.
With its bright yellow paintwork you certainly won’t miss it on the track. It will be easy to spot it, thanks to the very high specification. This car began as a development project by renowned specialists Auto Integrale and has then been carefully evolved by the current long term keeper.
The car’s specification has consistently delivered an impressive track performance, including third overall in the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy. It has raced across Europe including Spa and Silverstone and is reported to embarrass tough competition.
The car was fitted with a new old stock engine 3,500 miles ago and runs a Turbo Technics T34 turbo, custom exhaust manifold, and Alcon brakes, amongst many other upgrades.
This car is believed to be the UK’s only Fiat Coupe race car. With recent cambelt and service plus MOT to November 2025, it is ready for road and track.
The vendor writes:
“I bought the car from Auto Integrale in 2008, who used it as a development car. They fitted a bespoke exhaust manifold and uprated turbo as well as a charge intercooler and larger brakes. With the help of Auto Integrale I converted it into a road legal race car in 2010. They fitted a new old stock engine and an even larger turbo. I have competed in the car at Snetterton, Donington, Brands Hatch, Silverstone and Spa.
“It is an extremely quick and easy to drive road legal race car. Achieved 3:04 lap at Spa 1:26 at Donington, 1:25 on the old Snetterton. 3rd overall in Vintage Sports Car Club's Pomeroy Trophy. There is no other race prepared fiat coupe that I know of. This car embarasses much more expensive machinery on the track, and is just a dream to drive.”
