The Appeal
The Volkswagen Golf has always been an incredibly popular choice for decades throughout its generations thanks to its understatedly cool image and a reputation for solid build quality and reliability, and of course its one of only a handful of four-seater convertibles, with the conversion carried out by long time VW associate Karmann the coachbuilder who brought us the VW Karmann Ghia.
This car has led charmed life, its owner living away so using it very litte - under 7500 miles on the clock after 24 years - but treating it to rust prevention when new and lavishing a VW main dealer service almost every year until not ling ago despite only driving a few hundred miles between visits.
