The Appeal
The P38 was the gateway to a new era of Range Rovers, one marked by a step up in luxury, comfort and quality. They were also the final cars to feature the burbly Buick V8, and for that alone we love them.
Low mileage, unmolested survivors like this one are a rare sight. It has covered just 78,000 miles in its 26 years and its smart dark blue paintwork and grey leather cabin remain, therefore, in highly preserved condition. It seems clear that this workhorse has been reserved for light duties.
The history file shows regular maintenance and the usual P38 check areas present well in the photos. It comes to market with MOt to August 2025. The test has some minor advisories for the tyres, which are easily rectified, but is free from mechanical or structural notes.
This classic Range Rover would be perfect for summer family touring or some relatively light lugging duties such as a horse box.
