The Appeal
In 2000, Automotive history was changed forever as the Mini ended production. It was a remarkable achievement - 41 years and over 5,000,000 cars, during which the quirky little motor had managed to stay true to its winning characteristics of compact, easy-to-maintain motoring with a surprising pluckiness under the bonnet.
To mark the end of production, the Mini Cooper Sport 500 was released - the final 500 Minis produced to the iconic design of Alec Issigonis. It carried the car's most iconic heritage colour schemes, a refined interior and each one came with a plaque in the glovebox and a certificate of authenticity.
