The Appeal

BMW's 5 series has arguably been the standard for useable executive saloons since its initial release in 1972. The fourth generation gave us the E39 variant, one that received high praise for its clean styling and transition utilising more modern materials, such as aluminium for major components like the front and rear suspension assemblies. The E39 was also one of the first vehicles to offer curtain airbags, furthering its safety appeal.

 Aimed at the executive market sector, the 530I boasts ample amounts of space within for the passengers to enjoy while the smooth 6-cylinder M54B30 engine gives for more than adequate power. The year 2000 saw a facelift version introduced, furthermore, buyers could also choose from varying trim levels such as Sports or Executive. Not only does the E39 530I look the part but it offers impressive performance should you ever need, with 0-60mph only taking a claimed 7.1 seconds!

• MOT until 11/10/2023 with advisories for brake pipes on all corners as well as nearside rear suspension arm ball joint with slight play
• First registered 08/09/2003
• Originally sold to BMW Cooper of Wimbledon

• Custom numberplate included with vehicle, currently has show plates fitted but road legal plates present and included with the vehicle

• Brand new front Toyo Proxes Sport tyres with excellent tread, rear Pirelli P-Zero tyres with good tread
• Current owner states that some panels may have been previously resprayed prior to their ownership but cannot confirm
• Shadowline exterior trim fitted as standard and remains in very good condition throughout
• Badges, brightwork and glass all in very good condition
• Roof has some small scratches present, only noticeable when inspecting closely

The Mechanics

• Smooth M54B30 straight-6 engine starts on the button and runs without any knocks, banging or smoke

• Previous owner had carried out regular servicing and maintenance regardless of mileage and cost which can be seen in the service book
• Last stamped service at 95,870 miles (29/04/23), service book stamped from new until 2023
