The Rover 75 was a key vehicle for Rover, replacing as it did the 600 and 800 ranges. Launched in February 1999 to massive international acclaim, the 75 surprised many with its rather quaint detailing and uncanny refinement. 

Three petrol engines and a diesel engine were available in three main trim levels with the basic Classic and SE luxury variant of each added in October 1999. 

Created to give the car buying public that special sense of occasion, the Rover 75 certainly fulfilled this promise and was also seen as being good value for money, reliable and well put together.

This Rover 75 has a good service history and only three owners from new, with the last owner, due to illness, only covering a meagre 300 miles in the last year.

The car comes equipped with Air Conditioning, power steering, ABS braking electric front windows and tinted glass.

Recently serviced the car has also had new front coil springs, plus new front brake discs and pads, and a brake fluid change in August 2020.

The car has just recently had a new MOT, with no advisories, that expires in July of next year.

The V5 shows three previous owners and the car comes with a well stamped up service book and receipts for recent work.

The light beige interior trim is all very clean with no obvious defects or damage to speak of. There is a bit of wear to be seen on the contrasting piping on the driver’s seat but the door cards, carpets, wood inserts, dashboard and headlining are all in very good overall condition.

Finished in Red Metallic paint the body, apart from a few touched-up stone chips here and there, is in exceptionally nice and glossy condition, with all chrome fittings and trims being in similarly fine condition.

The alloys are all in good shape and have good tyres fitted, the headlights are clear and free from any cloudiness and the shut lines are all good with the car sitting nice and squarely on the tarmac.

The car has just recently been serviced and had new front brakes and coil springs at the front only last year. Everything is reported to be working correctly with ice-cold air conditioning to cool those hot summer drives.

There is a slight noise evident from a pulley in the engine compartment, but this is nothing to be overly concerned about.

The Rover 75 is known as one of the best models that Rover ever built, benefitting from being owned at that time by BMW, whose engineering and engines lent a new level of quality and durability to the Rover name.

This a very clean and presentable low-mileage example of the Rover 75 and benefits from the BMW 2.0 diesel engine which delivers great fuel economy.
