The Appeal
The E46 came at that sweet spot in BMW development when engagement was balanced with technology. If you want one, and many do, then you’re spoilt for choice. Few, we suspect, will be as good and compelling as this one.
Finished in Mystic Blue metallic with cream Nappa leather interior, this 2.2L 170bhp straight six 320 convertible has covered less than 23,000 miles from new. It looks much as it surely did the day it rolled out of the showroom in June 2004. There are some very light scuffs to the alloys - easily resolved - but other high traffic areas look barely used.
Despite the lack of use the car has been regularly serviced - always at BMW main dealers we are told - and is said to run and drive very well with no issues. The vendor tells us that he acquired the car several years ago from its first elderly keeper, who kept it for 17 years, and he has kept up the tradition of regular servicing and careful dry garage storage.
The car comes with its desirable matching hard top, which was recently treated to a new headlining. The car has been recently serviced by BMW and received four new tyres. There is also a lengthy MOT to April 2026 with no advisories.
Well specified and in great condition, this is a treat for enthusiasts of the E46 and those who value well kept and smart four seat convertibles.
